Michael Petrovich was born in 1968 in Westchester, New York. After four years of college, he joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1991. In 1993, he was given the case file from the Department of Justice for the retiring Assistant Attorney General Lucas Andrews. In 1994, during the round-up of elements from the Catalano crime family, Petrovich learned of the false identity created for Ryan Singer, statistics professor from Columbia University, a.k.a. Jeremy Levin.
