Avoréd ona Jimmian, Certían, translates to Jimmian's Destiny in English.

Summary

In the earliest days of Jimmian space exploration, Avoréd ona Jimmian was originally a term used to encourage Jimmian exploration beyond the Cenough star system. The suggestion being that it was Jimmian's destiny to explore the galaxy and spread Jimmian life and culture to new worlds.

After the discovery of Korzon, the term took on a darker meaning, with most Jimmians believing it was presumptuous to assume Jimmian had a right to spread culture and civilization to every available world out there, particularly in light of Korzon's desperate need for suitable worlds for their exploding population. Others however believed the fact that Jimmian had introduced space travel to Korzon, and perhaps was the first to ever discover Gravimetric physics, suggested they had a right to dominate galactic expansion.

The term fell out of general use when the war started. It was generally believed that the ideology behind Avoréd ona Jimmian had at least contributed to the atmosphere leading up to the war. Some even suggested that it was this sort of thinking that had directly lead to the disaster at Aestatle.
