Summary
Farid Din Durani was born on 7 August 1965 in Panjwai, Afghanistan.
Farid grew up during the Afghan war with the Soviet Union.
During the early 1980s, Farid worked as a go between for Afghan insurgents, the Pakanstani secret-service (ISI) and American CIA leadership in the region.
In 1987, Farid married Freshta, a refuge from Kandahar escaping Soviet scorched-earth practices with her family.
When the Soviets withdrew and American involvement in the fighting was leaving, Farid approached his Pakistani contacts and asked to be moved to Pakistan.
In 1989, while living in Karachi with his wife and first born son, Ali Ediz, Farid asked hist last remaining American CIA contact in Pakistan to kelp his family get to America. Citing the apparent ascendency of fundamentalist forces in his home country, Farid requested assylum.
On the 4th of January 1990, Farid, his wide Freshta and his sone Ali Ediz we granted asylum and changed their names to be more American. Farid constructed the family name Faridon from his own name Farid Din, and changed his name to Darren Faridon. Freshta took on the name Franchesca Faridon and they named their son Ali, Albert Adiz Faridon.
