William James Faridon was born on 23 June, 2035 near Watertown, New York on Earth's continent of North America. William's parents are Franklin Eric Faridon and Alice Anna Kmiec Faridon also of Watertown, New York. William has one sibling, Cinthia Ann Faridon.

William Faridon is also known as Lord Admiral Commander Bagrin, Bagrin Prince Consort of Jimmian and Bagrin Prince Regent of Tamin.

Born William James Faridon in 2032A.D., William was the first of two children, his younger sister was Cinthia Ann Faridon. William was educated in Watertown, New York until March of 2053, receiving exceptional academic marks in Computer Science and several athletic awards for long-distance running in 2050 and 2051. William was held over for his junior year in high-school after missing too much material in the spring of 2052.

In March of 2052, William was accidentally introduced to the Jimmians. William was injured in a fall while attempting to flee from a Jimmian survey ship commanded by Lieutenant Tokso of Tolt. Tokso ordered the ship to land and William was given emergency medical treatment for a mild concusion aboard the Balancanna.

A few days later, William was involved in a ship to ship battle between the Balancanna and three Korzon cruisers under the Korzon battle group commander Niak Mun Tavos. Toward the end of the battle, William was personally responsible for the sudden destruction of the primary Korzon battle cruiser carrying Niak Mun Tavos and saving Balancanna from almost certain destruction.

On 17 Shenfe 1053 (2 April 2052) William was included as part of a strike force against a Korzon forward battle base under construction on a planet designated Meleknough 135A1, in the Meleknough 135A star system. William oversaw the destruction of one of two nuclear fission reactors generating power to the environment and battle shields of the facility. Rather than accept defeat and surrender, the Korzon base commander insisted on continuing to power their defence shield and the overload of their remaining power generator caused the environment field to collapse and the enclosed atmosphere of the base to evacuate. This action resulted in the loss of all life within the base - more than 700 Korzons - an action that would haunt William for the rest of his life. It also made William one of the highest value targets of the Korzon side and earned him the titles of war criminal and terrorist in Korzon society.

Physical Description

William had medium brown hair and dark amber eyes. His eye-color was likely not inherited from his Afghani great-grandparents on his father’s side, but like his hair and light skin were likely a product of his father’s Russian-American mother and his own mother’s Polish-American family. At seventeen Earth years of age he stood five feet, eleven inches tall, giving him a fairly good length of stride for long distance running.

Early Life

The Lord Admiral Commander Bagrin was born William James Faridon to Franklin Eric Faridon and Alice Anna Kmiec Faridon on 23 June 2032 in Watertown, New York. William was their first of two children and was named after Alice's father and grandfather. Two years later, William's sister, Cinthia Ann Faridon was born and their parents agreed two was perfect having a boy and a girl.

Not long after William started school he began to advance very rapidly both scholastically and socially. He played very well with others easily making friends and dealing diplomatically with adversaries until they found it quite impossible to treat him poorly, regardless of their dislike for him.

By contrast, when his sister Cinthia started school she struggled both scholastically and socially, but much more so socially.

This state continued until William was thirteen and Cinthia about eleven. Although she still had great difficulty socially, her scholastic achievements began to improve. In fact Cinthia even skipped eighth grade and was put directly into her freshman year of high school after finishing a number of advanced courses in seventh grade with near perfect scores.

This change had a peculiar effect on William. He began to ignore his schoolwork, though for long it made very little difference and his grades remained excellent. He focused his effort more on social and athletic pursuits, eventually settling on running and Track events in school with his best marks coming in long distance running.

In March of 2052, William's education was interrupted by his first engagement with the Jimmians and after this his interest in academic achievement was essentially destroyed.

First Engagement

On 23 March 2052, when William's life was interrupted by an accidental introduction to the Jimmians. While fishing at a remote location outside of town, he became aware of a Jimmian reconnaisance vessel under the command of Lieutenant Tokso of Tolt. As a result of a mild head injury, William was taken aboard the Jimmian vessel for medical treatment and subsequently returned to the Jimmian starship Balancanna. Very shortly thereafter the Balancanna was recalled to Jimmian before William could be returned to Earth. He was therefore an unexpected guest and became an informal ambassador to the Jimmian people.

Early on in the voyage, William asked if he could learn the common Jimmian language, Certían. Tokso, being a translator and language trainer and also under orders to "see to the alien's comfort and well-being" accepted the challenge. With the aid of the neuro-stimulator drug called [Cognurisen] Tokso was able to teach William [Certian_language|Certían] in very little time.

Bearing out a keen interest in flying and military interests and with as yet no knowledge of the ongoing war between the Korzons and Jimmian, William asked to be shown the flight simulators used to train pilots aboard Balancanna. Tokso, conflicted between his orders to make William "happy" and keep classified information controlled agreed to show William "a few things". Yet William's natural curiosity and flight aptitude quickly overcame the Translator's reservations and before long William was impressing everyone with his flight capability.

Soon after, and still enroute to Jimmian, the Balancanna came under attack by a strike force led by the Korzon commander Niak Mun Tavos, moving to intercept the Jimmian starship before it could join the larger Jimmian fleet. When the ensuing battle seemed to be almost lost, William used subterfuge to involve himself in fight pretending to be Tokso. By a great deal of luck and some natural talent, William was successful in a reckless assault that turned the fortunes of the battle in the Balancanna's favor. Thus William became an instant hero to the crew, even if he was in trouble for impersonating an officer and stealing a ship to do it.

When they arrived on Jimmian, William was introduced to the young Queen Zequ and between them they developed a plan to deal with a much larger Korzon threat uncovered by Jimmian intelligence. The Korzons were secretly building a military base and refueling station in a nearby star system - Meleknough 135A. If the base were completed, the resulting military threat would almost certainly neutralize Jimmian's ability to project force outside its own system without bankrupting themselves. It would also render their two far flung colony worlds almost defenseless. So Zequ was preparing to launch a full-scale assault on the facility led by a secret strike force to neutralize the base with minimal casualties while the Korzons were distracted by a much larger Jimmian attack fleet. But Zequ needed political cover for the action - essentially someone to blame if things went wrong, and William was available.

So with a combination of his witting and unwitting help, Zequ included William in the strike force to be the "consultant"/commander there to advise and recommend actions. But during the action, the real commander of the strike force Commander Baldrequ was killed. This left William the highest ranking officer with the option to assume command. Since he felt their best probability of success was entirely different from the course Baldrequ was pursuing he took the option and commanded the team to destroy one of two Fission reactors supplying power to the base's shield generators.

The expected response would be surrender, since the Korzons could no longer effectively defend the base or maintain their shield. But the Korzons refused to surrender. Trying to continue powering the base shield and their atmospheric containment field on only one reactor resulted in both failing and everyone left on the base was killed. William and his strike force were already leaving in a stealth ship when containment failed. William was wounded in the evacuation from the base and was treated aboard the cruiser T'Thalna on their way back to Jimmian.

After recovering from his wounds, William was given the choice to stay, even to become a citizen of Jimmian if he chose or to return to Earth. Since he had started out motivated by an intense interest in Zequ and there seemed to be little interest returned, he chose finally to go home. So on 25 April 2052, Commander William James Faridon stepped off a shuttle just outside his home town and not far from where he'd been originally acquired.

Second Engagement

The expedition to save the planets Jimmian and Radrolf in the Cenough star system from gravimetric destruction.

The Loop Ends

The loop ends with Cinthia and William arriving in Navros when William meets, falls in love with and ultimately makes love to Celest.

The Death of Celest

Celest dies shortly thereafter, binding her soul to William's with an oath and to the death of Largoz'. This oath ultimately keeps Celest with William through his banishment to old Earth as Roger Wilson Taggart and the creation of the Learning Engine AI.

William weds Zequ in Craz.

Restoring Tamin

William is compelled by his oath to Celest and supported by Cegil and Cinthia to return to Tamin and execute the removal of Largoz as ruler in Tamin.

Lequ is born to William and Zequ in Craz.

Third Engagement

The war with Korzon comes to its end on 46 Mante 1061.

Earth Chooses the Wrong Side

Korzon has reached Earth and established relations, poisoning Earth against Jimmian. William must try to change the politics on Earth and break up their alliance with Korzon. Instead, America betrays the Jimmian Ambassador and turns William over to the Korzon authorities for war crimes. William is returned to Korzon and faces execution for the death of over 1000 Korzon citizens at Meleknough 135A1 in his first engagement.

Birth of Eryccenough

Eryccenough, William's only son is born on Zastanyen, 5 Namion 1061 at 0709 Craz Standard Time.

Fourth Engagement

William feels the wrath of Largoz' final, monstrous spell. On Sunday, 23 September 2074 and on Vezannyen, 1 Shenfe 1070, William James Faridon died in the fortress of Largoz in Amall. He was 39 Earth years old.
